Village-resorts
There are eight mountain villages in the Queyras, situated in the heart of the Queyras Regional Natural Park. The park is dedicated to nature and includes several summits which peak at over 3000m such as the Pic de la Font-Sancte, the Pain de Sucre, or the Pic de Rochebrune. The park will surprise you by its cultural variety, its homemade produce and much more. The Queyras villages are an essential visit so as to discover Fort Queyras, the numerous sun-dials, the wood crafts, the exceptional lace, the two cols (Izoard and Agnel) and the neighboring Vauban fortifications which are ranked amongst the Unesco world heritages. Thanks to a European tourism program, the Queyras and the Val Varaita share a joint project promoting sustainable eco-friendly tourism. |
