“GR58" a mythical route

agandir - map-park-village-queyras
The GR58, with its stunning countryside and vivid colours, is one of the most beautiful GRs in France. You pass through traditional alpine villages, larch forests and meadows full of marmots. A huge classic!
The Queyras Tour takes about 7 days by its classic route. Good walkers can do it in 4/5 days if they go fast and do longer days.
Difficulty : The Queyras tour is a generally easy-going, medium-altitude mountain trek. In the mountains conditions can however make the terrain more difficult.
Sign posting/way-marking : Good and consistent red and white way-markers. No particular navigational difficulties.
Advised season : from mid-June to September. Some of the high passes can have snow on them up until the beginning of July. You should bare this in mind when preparing equipment.
Guide books : Topo-Guide Tour du Queyras FFRP
