A hut to hut trek around Mount Viso

agandir - monviso-alpes-queyras-park-reserve-natural
One of the best hut to hut tours in the Southern Alps. It only takes three days to tour this mythical summit, taking in 3841m of ascent. On beautifully varied terrain, climb up to passes over 3000m high, discover deeply coloured mountain lakes and walk through this amazing geologically diverse landscape.
From Italy, particularly the Po valley, the Viso represents a 3500m high rock wall that blocks out the horizon. In summer, the combination of wind, proximity to the sea, humidity and the temperature difference between the valley and the mountain, creates a stubborn mist (la nebbia) that enrobes the whole area by the end of the morning.
