Col Izoard & Col Agnel
There are two must-see passes for cycling enthusiasts. One is regularly climbed by Tour de France competitors while the other is used by racers in the Italian ‘Giro’.
On your way up to the 2744m Col Agnel, or pass, you can have a refreshing rest stop at the Refuge Agnel, or hut. From stunning vantage point of the col, Italy sweeps away before you.
From the Col d’Izoard you can admire the impressive expanse of the Casse Déserte. A vast barren area, a mass of fallen rocks, bristling with rocky spikes.
